Sarai Style Bio


Angela L. Edmunds is the fashion designer and President/CEO of Sarai Style. Ms. Edmunds has been designing for 13 years, and has a background in Fashion Journalism, styling, fashion show coordination /choreography, modeling, public relations, and special events coordination. Edmunds is a graduate of Temple University, School of Communication where she earned her degree in Journalism.

Edmunds has developed Sarai Style to a respected Ready to Wear and Couture collection, which has been featured among the top designers in numerous shows in the region. The company manages 16 models called The Sarai Family ranging in height from 5’0 to 6’6. As of February 2003 a styling department has been added to Sarai Style, which is composed of a styling team, a make-up artist/hair stylist, and students from The Art Institute as the interning design team. Ms. Edmunds is currently doing styling for Philadelphia Style Magazine, where her work can be viewed in the March/April 2003 issue.

Sarai Style was featured in the Spring/Summer 2002 issues of “For You Bridal Magazine” and “Spotlite Magazine.” The collection also was exhibited in the 2002 NBA All Star Weekend in the first fashion show held at the Kimmel Center for Performing Arts in Philadelphia. Amongst the designers highlighted, Ms. Edmunds was the only female designer from Philadelphia featured in this show. In addition Sarai Style was featured last year as the opening collection in a fashion show for Alfredo Versace at Toto’s Restaurant. Sarai Style is also one of Ms. Pennsylvania Camille Young wardrobe sponsors, in which she was outfitted for the 2003 Ms. U.S.A. pageant in March. She can be seen wearing Sarai Style in the March/April 2003 issue of Philadelphia Style Magazine.

Editions are currently carried at Vagabond Boutique off 3rd & Market Street and at Bella Boutique off 3rd & South Street. Sarai Style carries sizes 2 to 8, and plans to later include a full figure line.
